Lesl Harker - Irish flute tutor
_ Lesl ("Less'l") Harker is one of the very few teaching undiluted old East Galway style, as a result of her apprenticeships to the late National Heritage Fellow Mike Rafferty of East Co. Galway.
What happens in a lesson:
You will learn a tune in small segments, bit by bit, until we can play the entire tune together. In a skype lesson, there is a time lag so we will only play small sections together slowly.
We will address individual technique and questions. You will learn at your own pace.
I will also record the tune slowly for you, to take home and use for practice. If you need notation for the tune, it is available but not necessary. You may surprise yourself with how quickly you will pick up the tune in this way, and the more you do it, the easier it gets. It's an easy skill!
